In singles, Christian (151 WTA) lost to American Alicia Parks (100 WTA), score 6-4, 6-4.

For being in eighth place, Jacqueline will receive 1,613 euros and 15 points in the WTA ranking (in the real-time ranking, she is on 119th place).

In doubles, Niculescu and Vivian Geisen beat the pair of Nadia Kichenok/Kimberly Zimmermann (Ukraine/Belgium) with a score of 6-4, 6-3.

To reach the finals, Monika and her colleague from Germany will play against the winning pair of Alicia Parks/Shuai Zhang (USA/China, main favorites) – Anastasia Detyuk/Oksana Kalashnikova (USA/Georgia).

By advancing to the semifinals, Niculescu and Geisen secured a prize of €2,100 and 57 points in the WTA doubles rankings.
