The atmosphere remains tense after the serious incidents that took place yesterday Tuesday (12.06) in Thessaloniki by a Roma who was protesting against the serious injury of a 16-year-old boy by a police officer.
Tensions erupted near the camp behind the Mint today, Wednesday, when a group of Roma went to the edge of Mesogeion Street and burned two tires. The fire was extinguished without the need to close the road. Police are on the scene and the area is quiet.
As ERT reported earlier in the morning, the police proceeded to close the regional Egaleo due to objects thrown by Roma groups after a clash with police.
