
CFR Infrastructura announced the signing of Quick Wins contracts worth 300 million lei to increase the speed of traffic on highway 300, between Teyush and Rezbioeni. The fastest trains now travel between the two cities at a speed of 57 km/h, while the slowest are at 42 km/h. Two decades ago, the fastest train traveled at an average speed of 78 km/h.

CFR SA informs that today, December 6, 2022, the CF BRAȘOV regional office signed 17 contracts for the total amount of 300,157,812.01 lei without VAT for the execution of works of the QUICK WINS type – removal of speed restrictions to restore the technical parameters of the track superstructure, which funded by the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PNRR).
CF BRAȘOV REGIONAL BRANCH and the association DRUM ASPHALT (Romania) – ZUE (Poland) signed today 17 contracts for the execution of QUICK WINS type works at Teiuș – Aiud, Aiud – Unirea and Unirea – Răzbioeni stations.
The total cost of 17 contracts for the performance of works is 300,157,812.01 lei, excluding VAT, financing is provided by PNRR non-refundable funds, their purpose is to remove speed restrictions to restore the technical parameters of the track superstructure and increase the speed of movement to 120 km / h.
Within the framework of 17 contracts, each with a performance period of 18 months, the contractor will perform QUICK WINS type works on a total length of 66.6 CF km with the purchase of new track materials by the builder, work on spot replacement of components of the track superstructure – rails, sleepers, track devices, crushed stone – or any other element that will increase the speed of passenger and freight trains.
The works will be performed in the following lots:

• Lot 4 Teiuș – Aiud, km 400+650 – 403+700 (wire II)
• Lot 5 Teiuș – Aiud, km 400+650 – 403+700 (wire I)
• Lot 6 Teiuș – Aiud, km 403+700 – 407+200 (wire II)
• Lot 7 Teiuș – Aiud, km 403+700 – 407+200 (wire I)
• Lot 8 Teiuș – Aiud, km 407+200 – 411+750 (wire II)
• Lot 9 Teiuș – Aiud, km 407+200 – 411+750 (wire I)
• Lot 10 Teiuș – Aiud, km 411+750 – 412+850 (line I+II)
• Lot 11 AIUD – UNIREA, km 412+850 – 414+800 (line I+II)
• Lot 12 Aiud – Unirea, km 414+800 – 417+100 (line I+II)
• Lot 13 Aiud – Unirea, km 417+100 – 419+250 (line I+II)
