Citizens of Russia and Belarus applying for residence permits and national visas in Lithuania will further be asked about their views on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, reports Agerpres with reference to dpa.
For this, citizens of two neighboring countries will have to fill out a special questionnaire, reports the Migration Department of Lithuania.
The questionnaire will have a decisive influence on the decision whether the applicant will be allowed to stay in Lithuania.
If a person refuses to fill out the form or does not fill it out completely, their application will not be accepted.
According to the authorities of Vilnius, citizens of other countries can also be offered to fill out such a questionnaire.
They will also ask for details about the person’s education, military history, business relationships and previous activities, as well as information about any relations with NATO or non-EU countries, Agerpres reports.
