In a message sent on Monday evening, Zelensky said that the main result of the day was that of the 70 launched Russian missiles, most of them were shot down, showing his gratitude to the fighters, partners in air defense. systems used by the Ukrainians, and noting that “every shot down Russian missile is a strong proof that terror can be defeated.”

He added that, however, total protection could not be ensured, so the strikes took place and four people were killed in Monday’s attacks.

The President of Ukraine noted that work is underway to restore electricity supply, efforts are concentrated in the central regions of Ukraine, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv. He showed that in other regions – from Transcarpathia to Kyiv, from Kirovohrad to Sumy and Kharkiv – electricity supply was stopped for stabilization. On Monday evening, the most power outages occurred in the Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi and Cherkasy regions.

“Once again, Russian terror affects neighboring countries. There are again power outages in Moldova. And this once again proves that Russia’s ability to carry out such mass terrorist attacks is a threat not only to Ukraine, but also to our entire region. At least. When a terrorist destabilizes everyone’s life, stopping terror is a joint mission,” Zelenskyy said.

He noted that he will talk about it in a speech before experts of the American Institute for the Study of War.

Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Russia marked the anniversary of the Budapest Memorandum with Monday’s missile strike.

“The fate of this document provides answers to many topical questions about Russia. Just signing something with these terrorists will not bring peace. They will certainly break any agreement reached with them. Giving up any element of its security in favor of Russia means a new war.

Therefore, a fundamental continuation of the existing policy of honest states is necessary: only the dismantling of the Russian terrorist potential, the liberation of all our territories and the pursuit of criminals will bring peace. I think it will happen,” he emphasized.

The President of Ukraine added that on Monday, the third declaration of support for Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic path was signed with Montenegro after the Czech Republic and Belgium.

“We will go through this path step by step – we will convince the Euro-Atlantic majority in favor of Ukraine. And not only with words, but also with decisions. Through decisions that support our access to the collective security system,” Zelenskyy said, as quoted by News.ro.
