Pele was admitted to hospital in Sao Paulo last week and the internet erupted after the media allegedly said the Brazilian was dying.
After several publications in America wrote that Pele will be under palliative care due to chemotherapy that did not give the expected results, he wrote a message on social networks.
Pele’s daughter has denied rumors that Pele is dying
Pele, who won three World Cups with Brazil, underwent surgery for a colon tumor in September 2021 and has since been in regular hospital visits for medical treatment.
Flavia Nascimento, the daughter of the legendary world champion, said in an interview with Globo TV that the press had given false information about her father’s current state of health.
“It was unfair to say that he is incurable, that he is under palliative care. Trust us, it’s not.”
