
The Fidelis and Tezaur programs for December 2022 start on Monday, and interested Romanians can borrow from the state, but at lower interest rates than the best offers on the bank deposit market, as HotNews.ro recently revealed.
For Fidelis, individuals can subscribe until December 19, 2022 through partner banks BT Capital Partners&Banca Transilvania, Banca Comercială Română, BRD – Groupe Société Générale and Alpha Bank.
It’s also easier through an account with a broker, a few clicks of the mouse, or directly from the phone app.
Government securities in lei have maturities of 1 year and 3 years with annual interest of 7.65% and 8%, respectively, and securities in euro have maturities of 1 year and 2 years and annual interest of 2.7% and 3, respectively. 7 %
The nominal value of Fidelis government bonds is 100 lei for issuance in lei and 100 euro for issuance in euro, and the minimum subscription threshold is 5,000 lei and 1,000 euro, respectively.
As for Tezaur, securities that can be subscribed directly through the Treasury, Virtual Private Space (SPV) or Romanian Post, the value of the security is 1 lei.
These are two issues with a maturity of 1 and 2 years and interest rates of 7.65% and 7.80% per annum, respectively.
Treasury bonds can be purchased:
- From December 5 to 19, 2022, online only by natural persons who are registered in the SPV. Operations that can be carried out online are: opening a subscription account in the name of the investor in the selected body of the State Treasury, subscription to TEZAUR state securities, transfer of amounts from the investor’s subscription account to a bank account in the name of the investor. - In the period from December 5 to 20, 2022, from the bodies of the State Treasury;
- In the period from December 5 to 19, 2022 in cities and from December 5 to 16, 2022 in rural areas through postal units of the Post of Romania.
