A Giurgiu County man who was released from prison less than a month ago after being convicted of a traffic violation was caught by police driving without a license. Criminal proceedings have been opened against him again, he is under judicial control.

A 45-year-old man from the commune of Gostinari, Giurgiu county, is being investigated under judicial supervision for driving without a license, a criminal case was opened against him less than a month after he was released from prison also imprisoned for violating traffic rules, News.ro reports.

Giurjuvean was stopped on Saturday in the city of Kolibashi while he was driving a car.

Police database checks revealed he did not have a driving license and he was released from prison on time last month.

“On the basis of the collected evidence, under the coordination of the prosecutor of the prosecutor’s office at the Giurgiu court, the man in question was detained for 24 hours for committing a crime related to driving a vehicle without a driver’s license,” the police inspectorate said. Giurgiu County said on Sunday.

The prosecutor took the man under judicial control for a period of 60 days.
