Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas wrote on Twitter at the end of November that two howitzers were being repaired in Lithuania.

Since the summer, a combat vehicle maintenance center has been operating in Lithuania, created by two large German arms manufacturers, Kraus-Maffei Wegmann and Rheinmetall.

So far, Lithuania has repaired six howitzers, Anusauskas said.

The Ministry of Defense of Lithuania reported that 2 million euros have been allocated for repairs.

The last two howitzers, repaired in Lithuania, were originally supplied by Germany and the Netherlands as military aid to Ukraine, a country that suffered an unwarranted and unprovoked invasion by Russian forces starting on February 24.

The corresponding ammunition is supplied by the Lithuanian army, which, in turn, has howitzers from the 2000s. The National Security Council of Lithuania decided in November that the country should supply ammunition to Ukraine. (Agerpress)
