They took the cornea, kidneys and heart.

“The gesture of the family of a 52-year-old resident of Arada, whose brain died, will give a chance for life to unknown people who are currently fighting in a hospital bed, waiting for a life-saving transplant! Two more people will see again thanks to the same family, which had the strength to make one of the most difficult and at the same time noble decisions – to save other lives, when the life of a loved one can no longer be saved! A few minutes ago, teams of doctors from Switzerland, Croatia, Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, together with doctors from Arad, took the patient’s heart, kidneys and cornea, which will urgently go to patients in critical condition whose lives depend on transplantation.” , say representatives of the Arad District Hospital.

Since there were no compatible patients in the country, the heart of a resident of Arada will save the life of a patient from Croatia.

“The collection of organs from Arad was made possible thanks to the efforts of Arad anesthesiology and intensive care doctors Dr. Dana Motz – coordinator of the SCJU Arad Transplant Center and Dr. Adrian Krishan – kdp, SCJU Arad Transplant Center. We thank the medical staff of the Departments of Anesthesia and Intensive Care I, Neurology and General Surgery I, and the Operating Unit I of the Arad County Emergency Clinical Hospital for their participation and professionalism. We express our sincere condolences to the family and express our boundless gratitude for the fact that they decided to give unknown people a chance at life!”, the representatives of the medical department say.

On November 24, the first organ collection of a 54-year-old patient this year took place in the Arad District Hospital. Then they took the liver, kidneys and cornea.
