A Turkish anti-mine military vehicle was disabled after hitting a mine in Ukraine, a few months ago the Armed Forces of Ukraine received several such vehicles.
The footage shows a Turkish-made Kirpi mine-resistant armored personnel carrier (MRAP) suffering severe front-end damage after hitting a mine, including losing a wheel from the explosion.

However, the MRAP’s armored windows appear to have survived the detonation, and the vehicle did its job of protecting its crew. Administrators of the OSINTtechnical page, which monitors military equipment used in Ukraine, note that the “Kirpi” seems to be subject to repair by Ukrainian engineers if the necessary components are available.
As the name suggests, MRAP vehicles are designed to withstand mine explosions and ambushes, and were originally developed by the US military in early 2007 in response to insurgent guerrilla attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Turkey, which also has such vehicles in service with its armed forces, sent 50 Kirpis to the Ukrainian army in August. The video, which appeared on social networks a month later, shows how Turkish equipment was already used to support the infantry during the offensive of Kyiv’s armed forces on Kherson.
It is interesting that the administrators of the OSINTtechnical page also note that, judging by the images that have recently appeared on social networks, it seems that the Ukrainian military has also started having problems with mines installed by the Russian occupiers in the context of their own well-known problems with them.
Hitting mines is becoming somewhat more common (at least this is what appears from media releases) among Ukrainian mechanized troops. Here you can see the remains of the US-supplied HMMWV, according to the author, the crew survived. pic.twitter.com/XIr66rkf9a
