Twitter suspended Kanye West’s account again on Friday, just two months after reinstating it, with Elon Musk saying he violated the platform’s rules against incitement to violence, Reuters reported.

Musk, a self-proclaimed champion of free speech, welcomed the return of the rapper, now known as Ye, to the platform in October.

“I did everything I could. Regardless, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. The account will be suspended,” Musk wrote on Twitter Thursday evening.

West’s account was suspended an hour after Musk’s post, made in response to a Twitter user who said, “Please fix Elon with Kanye.”

Before suspending Ye’s account, which had more than 30 million followers, Twitter restricted one of his tweets.

According to AFP, Kanye, increasingly isolated after his recent anti-Semitic remarks and open admiration for Hitler, posted an image of a swastika and a Star of David.

The social media platform reinstated the rapper’s account before Musk completed the $44 billion takeover. Musk later clarified that he was not involved in Ye’s return to Twitter.

On Thursday, Ye posted a photo on Twitter of Hollywood mogul Ari Emanuel spraying water on the back of Musk’s head from a hose. He captioned the photo with the message “Let’s always remember this is my last tweet #ye24” before the account was suspended.
