Iga Sviatek, the queen of winnings in 2022 – Simona Halep entered the TOP-10

The WTA has presented the earnings rankings for 2022, and as expected, the authoritative leader is Iga Sviatek.

A double Grand Slam champion (Roland Garros and US Open) this season, Iga had an impressive streak (record) of 37 consecutive victories. The Pole also won six tournaments in a row in 2022 (Doha, Indian Wells, Miami, Stuttgart, Rome and Roland Garros).

According to the cited source, Iga Sviatek collected this year only from tennis prizes (not including sponsors) the sum of 9,875,525 dollars.

She is followed by Ons Jabert ($4,997,069) by a small margin, and Caroline Garcia ($3,729,317) closes the podium.

As for Simona Halep (preliminarily suspended due to a positive test at the 2022 US Open), the former WTA leader ranks 10th with $2,253,197 ($13,080 of which is from doubles).
