It’s been a few days since the 30-cent discount on fuel officially ended, being limited to just 10 cents. But beware, because this small boost of the same amount at TotalEnergies will expire on December 31st and will not be renewed. However, the government still plans to introduce a new benefit that will be reserved for certain drivers, particularly the biggest racers. The inevitable termination of incentives by the state led to an increase in the price of fuel by a few cents, to the chagrin of motorists. However, growth was ultimately more subdued than expected. Even better, the prices have even dropped a bit.

A few cents less
According to the latest scores from Ministry of Ecological Transition, which is responsible for publishing fuel data, unleaded 95-E10 gasoline is currently priced at 1.7152 euros per liter, a slight drop of 3.6 cents. Standard 95 shows a more modest drop of 2.6 cents per liter to €1.7565. On the other hand, diesel users are pleasantly surprised, while diesel is down 4.5 cents. The price per liter still remains high as it is displayed at €1.8611. On the other hand, superethanol E85 up slightly by 2 cents per litre, which is currently at €0.9109, approaching the €1 mark.

Butter down
Finally, LPG is a bit different and continues to stagnate, while a liter is trading at €0.87. But these cuts don’t come out of nowhere, and especially not because of tax cuts, which the government is still refusing. In fact, if prices are falling, it is primarily due to falling into a barrel of oil, about 6.1 cents over the current price of $87.5. At the beginning of the year, the latter reached a record high of $140. Let’s hope gas prices continue to drop over the next few weeks…
