WhatsApp is launching a feature that allows users to send messages to themselves, a feature that can be used to save information that can be quickly accessed later.
WhatsApp’s newest feature is called “Message Yourself” and allows users, as the name suggests, to send messages to themselves.
Whether it’s notes, shopping lists or links, the information sent this way can be saved and quickly accessed when needed directly from the app with over 2 billion users.
The new option becomes visible when the function of initiating a new communication is used. Your own chat will appear in this list above all entries in the contact book.
After sending such a message, the chat with you will appear along with other private chats and discussion groups. In addition, you can pin your own chat to be displayed first on the screen.
The functionality itself is not new for communication programs. Slack, Telegram, and others have long had similar features.
