The European Parliament builds its work on emotions, Kremlin spokesman Dmytro Peskov told Russian media, TASS reports.

Peskov added that Moscow does not pay too much attention to the decision of the parliament.

He made the remarks after the EU institution classified Russia as a “state sponsor of terrorism,” a measure that is symbolic and not legally binding.

“It’s no secret for us that the European Parliament doesn’t like us very much in recent years,” said Peskov. “Instead, we didn’t have much desire to take into account what was happening there,” reports Al Jazeera.

“Emotions are such a changeable thing. Today they are Russophobes. Tomorrow everything will be different. And then, perhaps, there will be a moment of clarity,” he said, adding that Russia believes that the European Parliament lacks a professional approach.
