With a Batshuayi goal, Belgium beat Canada 1-0 to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar on the right foot. Roberto Martinez’s team struggled in the match after the Canadians had several chances. Courtois saved a penalty early in the match.

At the start of the match, Batshuayi fired a long-range shot but missed the target. In the 8th minute, Canada converted a penalty after Carrasco’s handball. Davis took the serve, but Courtois immediately dropped and cleared the ball. At 16 minute Hoylett shoots, but the ball goes wide.

Belgium struggled to develop the game. In the 23rd minute, Miller saved a corner kick from Batshuayi. Characteristically, the guests missed a double chance with Johnson in the 30th minute.

Herdman’s team dominated the field and had another chance at 31st minute, thin. At 44′ Alderweireld received a long-range pass, Batshuayi struck 1-0 against the flow of the match on the move. In the later stages of the game, Canada once again had a good time with Buchanan.

In the 48th minute, Eustaquio crossed, David headed the ball, but his shot ended wide of the target. Shortly thereafter, the same player fired a long-range shot that missed the target.

At 67 the Belgians had a good moment when De Bruyne turned to Batshuayi, but Larrea made a saving tackle. In the 80th minute, Larin took the lead, but Courtois did not care.

In the 86th minute, De Bruyne struck a long-range shot, but very wide of the mark. Canada looked for a goal and missed another chance with Larin as the Belgians held on for the win.
