
The German company Diehl Controls will build a production of electronic control components in Brasov, mainly for household appliances. The number of employees will be 600, and the investment will amount to 50-60 million euros in several stages, writes Bună Ziua Brașov. This is one of the largest investments announced in Brasov in recent years.
According to Diehl Controls CFO Josef Fellner, Brasov was chosen after an evaluation of 20 European cities. Brasov’s assets include a very good infrastructure available in the city, an already qualified workforce, as well as opportunities to obtain qualifications through dual education.
According to the estimate of the representative of the German company, production at the plant in Brasov is planned to start in 2024.
Estimated output in Brasov is 14-35 million euros in 2024, 80-100 million euros in 2025 and will reach 130-160 million euros in 2027.
The production facility will be on DN 13 (B-dul Griviţei). In Brasov, the German company will build a production of electronic control components, mainly for household appliances. This investment is being made in partnership with the investment company in industrial and logistics parks CTP, which also owns the land on which the plant will be built.
In addition to the investment in the production unit, the German company plans to develop research in Brasov to create another 100-150 jobs.
