Manchester United announced the peaceful termination of contract with Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday night, and the Portuguese was quick to react.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s response did not take long, and the Portuguese responded to Manchester United’s statement.

“After discussions with representatives of the Manchester United club, we have decided to terminate the contract peacefully with immediate effect.

I love Manchester United, I love the fans and that will never change.

However, I believe the time is right to try a new challenge in my career.

I wish Manchester United the best of luck this season and beyond.” – wrote Cristiano Ronaldo.
