A few months ago, Lucid was an American brand, almost unknown in Europe. Moreover, even today, Tesla’s young rival firm still has a little way to go before becoming as popular as its rival on the Old Continent. But the Californian manufacturer is making its way and is starting to develop well in our country. Indeed, a little earlier in the year, in May, Lucid has opened its first European dealership. Then it was solemnly opened in Germany, more precisely in the city of Munich. The first step in the development of the brand in Europe, which continues with a new opening, this time a little closer to home. Indeed, the manufacturer is now opening a store in Switzerland.

Opening in Geneva

That’s why Lucid opened its store in Geneva new exhibition hall, inaugurated a few days ago. Then this is the second European franchise of the brand, which has been established in the United States for quite some time. Commenting on the new location, Zach Edson, Lucid’s Vice President of Sales, said: “ the opening in Geneva was a natural consequence of the reaction of the Zurich public […] After that evening we noticed an increase in the number of bookings in Switzerland, we had to be present on site“. This inauguration should allow the brand to develop better on the Old Continent, even if only one model is currently on sale. This is the Lucid Air, a large electric sedan that rivals the Tesla Model S.

Other inaugurations

After winning over the Swiss and German public, the brand plans to expand further in Europe, and other dealerships may also be opened in the coming months. Then several markets are targeted, e.g Spain, Great Britain, Austria or even Belgium and Monaco. We will have to wait a little longer before we see the Lucid Air on our French roads, while the brand is not yet present on our territory. But there is no doubt that it will not be long!
