Logan Sargent will drive for Williams in 2023
After fulfilling the criteria set by Williams team director Joost Capito earlier this year, Sargent will take his place in Formula 1 next season, writes Agerpres.
“Since joining our driver academy at the end of 2021, Logan has been able to fully integrate into the team while working in the simulator and more recently on track during four free practice sessions. He’s had a good season in Formula 2 and we’re excited to see him step up to Formula 1″ – Just Capito.
Sargent will be the first American on the grid since Alexander Rossi in 2015.
“It is a great honor and a dream come true to have the opportunity to compete in Formula 1” – Logan Sargent.
