Kasper Ruud in the final of the Tournament of Champions
In the match with Andriy Rublev, Kasper did not have too many emotions and took the upper hand only in the 69th minute of the game with a score of 6-2, 6-4.
Ruud came out strong, winning eight games in a row (starting at 2-2 in the first set). The Russian recovered the break, but it was too late.
Casper Ruud will meet Novak Djokovic in the grand final of the competition in Pala Alpitura (Torin). The match will take place on Sunday, from 20:00.
Ruud and Djokovic met three times on the ATP circuit, and each time the Serb won: twice in the semifinals of the Rome Masters (2020 and 2022) and once in the groups of the Champions Tour (2021).
