The environmental movement “Derniere Rénovation”, whose activists have been mobilizing in France for several weeks, blocking roads, disrupting shows or matches, announced this on Twitter.

The sculpture of a man on horseback “Horse and Rider” in the courtyard of the Paris Stock Exchange, which houses the collection of billionaire Francois Pinault, was splashed with orange paint.

“Ecovandalism takes another step,” French Culture Minister Reema Abdul Malak, who traveled to the scene to see the sculpture, responded on Twitter, thanking “the restorers who intervened quickly.”

“Art and ecology are not mutually exclusive. On the contrary, these are joint matters!”, she added.
