Norway reached the final of the European Women’s Handball Championship

France confidently won all the matches they played in this final tournament, but could not get revenge against Norway, who also defeated them in the final of the 2021 World Cup.

Norway will meet Denmark for gold. The last match between the two teams took place in the main group I, and the Danes won 31-29.

  • Group A: 32-23 against Croatia 32-23, 38-21 against Switzerland, 32-22 against Hungary.
  • Main group I: 27-25 against Sweden, 26-23 against Slovenia, 29-31 against Denmark
  • Semifinals: 28-20 against France.

  • It was Romania’s 14th participation in the Women’s Handball European Championship (the “tricolors” finished in 12th place), and the best result was third place in 2010.
  • The overall European champion is Norway, the title won at the 2020 competition (eighth on record).
