At the moment, Nicolae Stancu is one of the most wanted Romanian players for the upcoming mercato window, a footballer from Wuhan Three Towns (Chinese Super League).

The Romanian international, who currently plays in the Chinese Premier League, was signed by Wuhan Three Towns this spring for €4 million and less than a year later, the midfielder is wanted in European football.

Slavia Prague is negotiating the return of Stanch

In the summer of 2019, Slavia Prague bought Nicolae Stancha from Al-Ahly for 4 million euros, and the impression of the Romanian football player in the Czech Republic was very good.

In 111 matches for Slavia, Stancu scored 25 goals and provided 28 decisive assists. He also previously played for rivals Sparta Prague, for whom he scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in 34 games played.

According to Transfermarkt, 29-year-old Nicolae Stanciu is valued at €5.5 million.

Immediately after qualifying for the sixteenth round of the UEFA Conference League, CFR Cluj declared that they really wanted to transfer Stancu, even offering him the highest salary in Romanian football.

However, it seems the Transylvanians can’t match the offer from the Czechs, who are offering Stanč double the wages he was offered during his last spell at Slavia Prague.

The Czechs offer Nikolaj Stanciu 1.8 million euros per year against 850,000 euros he received last year in the same team.

In addition, another detail in favor of Stancius’ return to Slavia Prague is that Wuhan Three Towns have so far only paid the first installment of the transfer fee, i.e. 1.2 million euros. The next tranche is scheduled for January 2023, the last one for January 2024.

“I’m in the middle of the season, we have a little bit left to the end of a very balanced championship. I want to stay focused on what I have to do here until the end.

Play as well as possible and win the championship. Otherwise, you never know what the future holds, but right now my main focus is to get the title.” Stanchiu said.
