OUR Kate Winslet starring with daughter Mia Tripleton in film “I am Ruth‘, which is the sequel to the popular anthology series ‘I Am’ directed by BAFTA award winner Dominic Savage.

The story follows Ruth, a troubled mother who struggles to help her teenage daughter Freya (Tripleton) as she spends more and more time on social media while living “trapped” in this world.

The first trailer for Winslet’s brainchild drama has just been released. In it, we watch the two main characters drift apart, with Freya becoming increasingly withdrawn despite her mother’s attempts to bring them together. Winslet and Tripleton represent the typical mother-daughter relationship in the trailer: the screams, anger and hugs they share.

But in the end, Ruth takes the next step and forces Freya to seek help from a psychologist and confiscate her phone. “It makes you sick,” Ruth tells her daughter. But besides the two of them, we also watch the rest of the family, for example, Freya’s brother.

In the anthology I Am, well-known actresses tell women-oriented stories. Some of them: Vicki McClure, Samantha Morton, Leticia Wright, Leslie Manville. “I Am Ruth” is the first chapter of the third season. The rest, with other actors, will be announced soon.
