If we wanted to sum up what happened on the evening of November 10 at the Watchmaking Awards 2022, we would say that courage and originality, small and independent creators won. Names that are well known to insiders but relatively unknown to the general public, as they appeal to a very small subset of discerning collectors with big wallets. So are Kari Wutilainen, the Grönefeld brothers, Recep Rejepey of Acrivia, Remi Maya of Kryon, the Meilan family of Moser & Cie, Sylvain Pinault and of course the star of the night Maximilian Büsser and all his accompanying friends on the wonderful MB&F journey of 17 years. years. Big Prize “Gold Forefinger“(“Golden Aiguille” Grand Prix): MB&F Legacy Sequential EVO Machine
Designed for MB&F by Stephen McDonnell, the LM Sequential EVO is a completely innovative and extraordinary chronograph. But what makes this watch truly unreal in its concept is the revolutionary “Twinverter” double switch, which allows you to use several synchronization functions: rattrapante (fraction of a second), a lap timer and even an accumulative “chess game” function. a combination that we have never seen before in a wristwatch.
The fully integrated double movement features two column-wheel chronographs and patented vertical clutches with internal rubies that guarantee no loss of tension or power reserve whether the chronographs are running or not. The mechanism is equipped with the characteristic balance wheel used in MB&F Legacy machines.
