in the price of electricity has skyrocketed in recent months, and absolutely no one is spared from this hike, despite the government’s damage-limiting tariff shield. This applies even to charging stations, while most operators have had to revise their prices upwards in order not to be affected by this increase and remain profitable. This is especially true of the Allego, as well as the Tesla, while some, like the Electra, chose not to change anything for the benefit of customers. But if Elon Musk’s company raised prices, it eventually decided to lower them. But now it is again changing its price list to its Superchargers.

New system
As a rule, the cost of charging stations is the same regardless of the time of day. But in Tesla now everything is a little different. In fact, the California brand recently implemented a system of peak hours and off-peak hours to encourage motorists to charge their cars outside of consumption peaks in order to reduce the strain on electrical network. Where peak hours used to be the majority, Tesla has revised its terms, as now the full price is only valid from 16:00 to 20:00. Then the rest of the day will be cheaper, but the price will also depend on customer subscriptions.
.
A price that changes
If you subscribe to a subscription, you will have to pay 0.66 EUR/kW from 16:00 to 20:00. and outside this time period, the price will decrease to 0.59 EUR/kWh. As you can imagine, the price will be higher if you don’t have a subscription, as a kWh is shown at €0.70 during off-peak hours, dropping to €0.78 during those hours. In comparison, Electra charges €0.44 on its 300 kW terminals, while Ionity charges €0.79 on its 250 kW terminals.
