With the help of a specialized test patented by the German organization DEKRA, I tested a Volkswagen ID.3 1ST Edition, which has almost 50,000 km on board and is two years old.
In daily use, the car still performs like new in terms of range and charging capacity.
Several electric and hybrid cars were tested at the DEKRA event at AMCKART, but this ID.3 had the most kilometers on board. Hence, the biggest deterioration in battery quality.
Half of the 50,000 km were in the city, half in the countryside. At the same time, the loads are distributed equally between slow, home (4 kW) and fast (up to 100 kW, as much as the car can withstand) sessions.
What is noticeable when using the car, as well as in the DEKRA test, is that the battery health is 100%.
