The ceiling of 1 million euros from micro-enterprises seems to be in effect also in 2023, if we look at the amendment approved by the deputies of the budget and finance committee.
In essence, it is an amendment to Decree 16/2022 on tax increases.
In the transitional provisions, they introduced another clause, namely that the provisions of clause 4 (the order) apply from the income related to the year 2023.
And in this paragraph it is said: the exchange rate for determining the equivalent in euros is the rate valid at the end of the fiscal year in which the income was registered.” That is, the rate from 2023.
Therefore, from January 1, 2023, it is impossible to apply the lower ceiling for micro-enterprises.
In other words, from 2024 the micro-ceiling will drop to 500,000 euros.
Even the representatives of the Ministry of Finance present in the hall did not notice this change.
More precisely, the adopted amendment says: “d) the provisions of paragraphs 4, 30, 43, 48, 49, 51-53, 71, 73-75, 81, 83-86 shall be applied, starting with the income related to the year 2023”.
The normative act will be sent for voting at the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies.
