“The tire should be 15% because it seems normal to me so that citizens can be covered from the impact of inflation on everyone,” Chuke told parliament.

When asked whether there will be one-time aid at the beginning of next year, the prime minister replied that it is still being discussed.

“We have established very clearly that the social measures that were foreseen and established for this year will continue next year as well. So this one-off payment of €50 every two months will continue for the next year and the year after that. let’s determine the amount by which pensions are increased, please believe that we will do it in such a way that they are included in the amount due from the budget in the percentage of 15%,” Chuke said, quoted by Agerpres.

He argued that the gradual increase in the pension is unconstitutional.

When asked whether the minimum pension can increase by a larger amount, the prime minister answered: “We cannot have a differentiated increase in pensions”
