US President Joe Biden today congratulated Benjamin Netanyahu on his victory in the parliamentary elections in Israel.
According to Netanyahu’s Twitter post, the US president told him that the US-Israel alliance is stronger than ever.
For his part, the big Israeli election winner told the US President that they could “reach more peace agreements and deal with the threat of Iranian aggression.”
Israel, during Netanyahu’s previous tenure as prime minister, normalized relations with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain under the auspices of the United States.
Israel’s fifth election in four years confirmed Netanyahu’s return to power with the backing of ultra-nationalist and far-right parties.
