CFR, a hard fought win in Miowen

After a very modest first half for both teams, the hosts missed a very big chance in the second half. Carnath was unable to beat Simon Skuffet at the end of a very successful counter-attack initiated by the hosts.

Finally, a goal for Transylvania came with a few minutes remaining (87th minute) when Chepas Malele headed in a cross from the right.

CFR also claimed a penalty from 11 meters in the 67th minute after a duel between Yeboa and Garutti.

Having qualified for the sixteenth round of the UEFA Conference League, the Romanian champions leapfrogged Rapid in the standings and climbed into second place with 34 points.

Miovenu remains the red light of the Superliga with only 8 points from 18 competitive stages.
