OUR Sylvester Stallone as well as Bruce Willis they have a special friendship. But since the latter was diagnosed with aphasia last March, they rarely spoke.
“Bruce is going through a very difficult time. So he’s kind of isolated,” Stallone said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that was released on Monday.
The popular actor, best known for his role as Rocky Balboa, added that it was “very sad” that he wasn’t talking to Willis. “This is killing me,” he said characteristically.
Stallone’s comments come months after Willis’ daughter Rumer announced her father had been diagnosed with a cognitive disorder and was about to retire from acting.
When news broke about Willis’ health, Stallone showed his support through his Instagram account, posting a photo of their friendship over the years.
“We have been through so much together, I pray for the best. You and your wonderful family,” the message reads.
Days after the shocking announcement, the Los Angeles Times wrote in an article that Willis had shown signs of decline in recent years. Cinematographers who worked with him said that the actor had difficulty remembering the text and could not shoot fight scenes.
