On Wednesday, FC Kraiova 1948 announced the name of the team’s new coach, Nicolo Napoli. This news was not liked at all by the fans who resorted to a violent gesture.
After falling out with Marius Kreitoru, the formation under the patronage of Adrian Mititelu has been without a head coach for weeks, with several technicians in discussion to fill the technical bench.
The headquarters of the FC U Craiova 1948 club were destroyed by fans who were outraged by the appointment of Nicolo Napoli to the technical bench
On the night from Wednesday to Thursday, Oltene ultras vandalized the club premises and left offensive messages on the walls.
“On the night of November 9-10 this year, around 01:50, policemen from the Craiova Police Department 1, together with gendarmes from IJJ Dolj, during the performance of their duties, found 5 young people who, shortly after, allegedly made drawings and inscriptions on the walls of the building club in Kraiów.
During the examination of the young people, the police found several black and red canisters, which were seized for further checks.
It is about 5 young people aged between 15 and 22, all from Kraiova, who were taken to the police station for questioning.
According to the results of the checks, the police established that three of them, namely two 22-year-olds and a 15-year-old teenager, made drawings and inscriptions on the walls of the building.
Thus, the persons concerned were punished with illegal sanctions in accordance with Law 61/1991, with a fine of 3,000 lei each.” – says the press release of IPJ Dolj.
In an interview with Digi Sport in October of this year, Mititelu assured the fans that the coach who will lead the team will be new, unlike those who have been sitting on the technical bench until now.
“I don’t have any names in my head, I haven’t had a chance because I haven’t thought, to be honest.
On the other hand, I can’t bring anyone because I’m tired of mediocre coaches.
These are the same coaches who go from one team to another, and I want something different. I mean the general way.
I haven’t been to Nicolo Napoli, I tell you it’s a very complicated business and I have no idea. There are many offers that have come to me on Whatsapp in the last ten minutes.” Adrian said to Mititelu.
