To avoid any confusion, Audi is taking advantage of the restyling of its mid-engined E-tron SUV to give it a new name: it now becomes Audi Q8 E-tronwhile its SUV coupe version becomesAudi Q8 Sportback E-tron. Thus, the model occupies the first place in the line of SUVs of the brand, even if at the moment it does not replace the hot Audi Q8.
Audi Q8 E-tron restyling: discreetly updated style
Restyled Audi Q8 E-tron stands out in several ways aesthetic improvements : there is a new bumper at the front, with more generous buckets and a sportier design, but also with grille with illumination which highlights the brand’s new “two-dimensional” four-ring logo. There are also engravings on the door jambs to remind you of the model’s identity, and the lettering is also new.
The rear is distinguished by a new skirt design that echoes the identity of the brand’s electric models, with a “wave” in a contrasting color and bears the name “E-tron”. Inside the program, there are few changes: high-resolution touchscreens, 10.1 inches at the top and 8.6 inches at the bottom, not to mention the Full HD phone screen. Virtual Cockpit devices. Audi Q8 E-tron restyling: more autonomy
Restyled Audi Q8 E-tron updates its offer of power units: the initial version with a battery capacity of 71 kWh leaves the catalog, and the basic Q8 50 E-tron now equipped with a 95kWh battery (89kWh net) and its two engines now boast a combined output of 339bhp and 664Nm of torque. Autonomy now reaches 491 km (an increase of 172 km), and its battery is compatible with ultra-fast charging stations of 150 or 170 kW depending on the version.
Version Q8 55 E-tronwith a capacity of 408 hp and a torque of 664 Nm, equipped with a battery 114 kW/h (106 kW/h net) that it currently offers Range 582 km (172 km more than before). Version S Q8 E-Tron also uses this battery, allowing it to offer a range of 494 km (134 km better). Its three engines develop 503 horsepower and 973 Nm of torque.
Restyled Audi Q8 E-tron: the release is scheduled for 2023
On the mechanical side, Audi also has improved dynamic behavior updated Q8 E-tron, recalibrating its air suspension, assisted steering, and stability control system.
