The Romanian Automobile Registry has published photos of one of the most beautiful cars produced in the 20th century, a three-wheeled car with an 11 hp engine, a vehicle that could reach 80 km/h. The car was made by Messerschmitt, famous for its World War II aircraft.

Messerschmitt was known for its Bf 109 and Me 262 fighters, but after the war it was banned from producing aircraft for ten years, so it decided to make small machines.

These cars were designed by an aeronautical engineer named Fritz Fendt, who lived until 2000.

The company’s name comes from the engineer Wilhelm Emil “Willy” Messerschmitt, who was born in the late 19th century and died in 1978.

What people from the Russian Federation write about a small car

At RAR’s headquarters in Kalea Grivitei, we were pleasantly surprised to meet the “micro” legend of three-wheeled vehicles, the Messerschmitt KR175. This is the first Kabinenroller (in an adapted translation – cabin scooter) variant of the famous German aircraft manufacturer of the Second World War, which debuted in 1953, only to be replaced in 1956 by the KR200 variant.

The name “scooter” comes from its 175 cc single-cylinder two-stroke engine that develops 11 hp. and a maximum torque of 12.75 Nm. It has two wheels at the front and one at the back, which also provides traction, and according to the manufacturer, it can reach a top speed of 80 km/h. An important detail for this model is that the paintwork is original.
