Police in West Bend, Wisconsin responded to a call that a man armed with a knife was making threats at the West Bend Memorial Library polling place. The man asked employees to “stop the vote,” the West Bend Police Department said in a news release.

The 38-year-old man, whose identity authorities have not identified, was taken into custody without incident and no one was injured, police said.

Voting at that precinct was suspended for more than 30 minutes while officers conducted an investigation, but the site has since reopened, police said. Police said “charges will be filed.”
