
A woman who allegedly presented a falsified bachelor’s degree to work as an auditor at the Chamber of Accounts was detained on Monday after questioning at the headquarters of the Economic Crimes Investigation Department, court sources told Agerpres.
The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that on Monday two searches were conducted at a person suspected of fraud, forgery and false declaration.
According to prosecutors, in order to work as an external state auditor at the Romanian Chamber of Accounts, the person in question presented a false bachelor’s degree.
With the same fake diploma, she previously held the position of head of the financial and accounting service at a local state institution for child protection and protection.
At the same time, she would not properly fill out the property declaration, omitting the declaration of seven property objects.
