​12 city halls of the country signed on Monday, in the presence of EU officials, financial contracts worth more than 1.4 billion lei from PNRR, the largest investment projects were signed by the city halls of sector 4 in Bucharest and in the municipality of Buzău.

The 12 projects financed through the PNRR, worth more than 1.4 billion lei (including VAT), are added to the other 81 investment contracts already signed through the Renovation Wave component, a government spokesman said on Monday, thus bringing the total contract funding to together with today’s, almost 2.5 billion lei.

Which 12 projects are financed by PNRR:

• 1. 51 million lei (Bystrytsia municipality): improvement of energy efficiency of 17 residential blocks of Bystrytsia
• 2. 530 million lei (Sector 4 in Bucharest): energy renovation of multi-apartment residential buildings for communities at risk of social exclusion
• 3. 42 million lei (Bucharest City Hall): comprehensive reconstruction and seismic consolidation of Bucur Maternity Hospital in the capital
• 4. 461 million lei (Buzeu municipality): comprehensive reconstruction of 30 residential blocks
• 5. 56.6 million lei (Oravica): Energy renovation of multi-apartment residential buildings in the area of ​​the Railway Station and Eftimi Murgu quarter in the city of Oravica, Karash-Severin
• 6. 33.6 million lei (Cluj-Napoca Municipality): increasing the energy efficiency of residential quarters in the Municipality, stage 2
• 7. 33.4 million lei (municipality of Craiova): reconstruction of residential buildings in the municipality
• 8. 59 million lei (Podul Iloaiei, Iasi): energy renovation of buildings in the city of Podul Iloaiei, Iasi County.
• 9: Energy renovation of 2 residential buildings in Sovata, Mures
• 10. 34 million lei (Piatra-Niamts): increasing the energy efficiency of public buildings in the educational infrastructure of Piatra-Niamts
• 11. 56.4 million lei (Caracal, Olt): increasing the energy efficiency of collective housing in the city
• 12. 38.5 million lei (city of Slatina, Olt): thermal rehabilitation in the district emergency hospital of Slatina

Cuke: In Romania, we already have €6.35 billion from the PNRR

Prime Minister Nicolae Chuke, who was present at the event, reviewed the PNRR funds that have arrived in Romania.

“Romania managed to get approval and funding for the first payment request, so together with the pre-financing amount and the money from the first funding request, we already have 6.35 billion euros in Romania and we are in the process of preparing the next payment request, the second request to be paid by the PNRR,” Prime Minister Nicolae Chuke said.
