Reflections on the project to no longer deduct points from the driver’s license of drivers guilty of minor speeding continue! https://t.co/w2bQX7OYx4

Speeding is one of the most common violations on the road. And frankly, even with all the precautions in the world, it could happen to us too. A little inattention, and hop, flash, fine and withdrawal of points. Suffice it to say, it happens very quickly. But in some cases, it makes you wonder if the driver did it on purpose. Because some excesses are impossible to understand, and it must be remembered that exceeding 50 km/h is considered a crime. AND the punishment is then very severe, up to the deprivation of driver’s licenses, not to mention the large fine that violators also bear. But this does not seem to prevent them from believing various facts.
It happens that the radar illuminates a speeding driver, but he does not receive a traffic ticket! https://t.co/eNzBECUAIE?utm_campaign=post-auto&utm_medium=twitter

Big fine for speeding
In particular, this concerns the 40-year-old driver detained this weekend by the Chatellerau gendarmerie. This Saturday, November 5, at 5:00 p.m., police will be stationed on the side of the road in Mont-sur-Gen for speed enforcement. When they suddenly see a car driving 140 km/h instead of 90 normative. Neither one nor two chase the driver, who refuses to stop and runs away. Then he was chased and found a few minutes later, when he hid on a small path five kilometers away. Finally, the gendarmes arrested him without difficulty.
A real combination
The 40-year-old driver then tested positive for blood alcohol while driving with approximately two grams of alcohol in his blood. But that’s not all, because he also circulates without a driver’s license. He was then placed in a drunken tank and will be tried for driving without a license and while intoxicated, as well as for refusing to obey. He faces very severe punishment, up to and including prison terms, depending on the judge’s request.
