There is one exception to the end of sales of diesel cars in 2035, voted by the European Parliament: luxury cars (Ferrari, etc.). Of course, there are not many of them, so the emissions will be limited, but for the symbol and social justice will have to be ironed pic.twitter.com/6gPS9lc6ZE

Today, one of the main advantages of an electric car is its single-speed automatic transmission, which allows you to enjoy a smooth and comfortable ride. True, some models are equipped with a two-speed gearbox, such as the Porsche Taycan, but this is still very rare and is very often reserved for sports models. Anyway, automatic transmission is a real asset, but some still have nostalgia for old-fashioned manual transmissions. The problem is that now they are becoming more and more rare, and many manufacturers are abandoning them because they are less demanded by buyers. But it seems that some people continue to believe it.

Manual gearbox in Toyota?
This is especially true for Toyota, which is currently considering developing a manual transmission system for its future electric vehicles. We know that the firm never does anything like the others, including the GR Yaris and others GR86, then this idea is not really surprising. Specifically, this new gearbox will work exactly the same as for a thermal car, as the patent filed by the Japanese manufacturer shows. The motion is then briefly interrupted while the report runs, as in the case of the internal combustion model. Then the sensation should be close to what you feel when driving with a mechanical box.
.
Not for everyone
But we shouldn’t expect this technology to spread everywhere. Indeed, some manufacturers are still categorically against it. This is especially true Honda, who recently said he was against these fake transmissions on his cars. The boss of the brand did confirm that “ it can be done artificially, but mechanically it is more difficult“. The firm is looking for other ways to make its electric cars fun in the future, as it plans to completely stop selling its thermal models worldwide in 2024.
While the European Union banned the sale of diesel locomotives from 2035, France still practices “terminal hunting”. Educational review@oubertalli. #OnEstNotSortisDesRonces https://t.co/uT3qUEjNe6
