Co-hosts Slovenia have sprung the first big surprise at the 2022 European Women’s Handball Championship after defeating Denmark.

Slovenia defeated Denmark at the European Women’s Handball Championship

In Group B, Dragan Adzic’s girls defeated the team that reached the semi-finals at the 2020 World Cup and won bronze at the 2021 World Cup with a score of 28-26.

Ana Gros (Slovenia) scored 8 goals and was recognized as the player of the match.

Also on Friday, Hungary beat Switzerland 33:28 (Group A).

The European Women’s Handball Championship will be held again on Friday

Group A: Norway – Croatia (21:30)

Group B: Sweden – Serbia (21:30).

The European Handball Championship will be held from November 4 to 20 in Slovenia (Ljubljana, Celje), North Macedonia (Skopje) and Montenegro (Podgorica).

The Romanian national team is in Group C, where it will meet the Netherlands (November 5, 9:30 p.m.), France (November 7, 9:30 p.m.) and North Macedonia (November 9, 7:00 p.m.). The matches will be broadcast in LiveTEXT format on HotNews.ro.
