The prosecutor of the public prosecutor’s office at the Court of Constanta proposed to the judge on rights and freedoms of the Court of Constanta to request the preventive arrest for a period of 30 days, starting from 03.11.2022, of the accused, who is being investigated for committing the crime of qualified theft.
According to the prosecutor’s office, on November 1, 2022, at around 11:20 p.m., a man “stole” a package with 4 cans of Rio Mare tuna from a store in Constanta, leaving the store without paying for it, causing a loss of 39 66 lei (to date, it has not been recovered )”.
The judges, on the other hand, rejected the request of the prosecutors and decided to “immediately release the defendant D.I.-B, if he is not detained or arrested in another case.”
