Gwen Stefani opened up about her relationship with husband Blake Shelton on The Drew Barrymore Show hosted by actress Drew Barrymore.
The singer-songwriter said she felt hopeless after breaking up with Gavin Rosdal and then opened up about her daily life with her new partner.
“God brought us together. It was one of those moments where I didn’t know it was going to happen,” Stephanie said, before recalling their first meeting in April 2014 on the set of The Voice, a year before she split from Rosdal.
According to her, when she divorced, she felt that her personal life was over. “I felt like I would wake up every day, drink coffee, take care of my kids, and then go to bed.” Like I never intended to kiss anyone. I thought my life was over, and then Blake Shelton said, “Hi. I’m Blake Shelton,” the singer recalls.
Barrymore noted that she considers such unexpected romances “possible”, and Stephanie explained their relationship: “To find a good friend, someone who is on the same level in terms of morality or the way you look at life.” It’s a dream.” “We think the same about everything, but we’re so different,” Stephanie said.
“It’s the perfect balance because opposites attract, expanding each other’s horizons while also leaving room for individuality,” added Barrymore.
