The High Court of Cassation and Justice postponed to March 2, 2023 the hearing of the FCSB team’s appeal against Stella’s record in the first term of the new trial.
The court session lasted only 6 minutes, a new term was set for next year, and the parties introduced new issues into the materials, GSP reports.
The Bucharest Court of Appeal decided that the record of the football team of the Steaua Bucharest Army Sports Club from 1947 to 1998 belongs to CSA Steaua Bucharest.
Also, FCSB has a track record from 2003 to date. That means 5 league titles in Ligue 1, three Romanian Cups, two Super Cups and two League Cups.
The period 1998-2003 remains undisclosed. This is the period during which Viorel Peunescu became the president of the military club until 2003, when Gigi Becali took over the club.
Both sports organizations appealed to the High Court of Cassation and Justice.
