The e-bike is more popular than ever with the French, with more than 660,000 units sold in France in 2021, a 28% increase, symbolizing the growing adoption of this mode of transportation.

Unfortunately, the prices of electric bikes are still quite high, and this can quickly put off people on a tight budget. But rest assured, you can take advantage of the benefits of an electric bicycle thanks to a simple solution proposed by Americans from Lival : PikaBoost.

Livall Pikaboost: conversion kit

Priced from $299, which is roughly €303, instead of $599 (€607) Livall Pikaboost lets you turn any regular bike into an e-bike with this super simple seat tube mount.

This product looks like a compact body, 33.8 cm long, 13 cm wide and 6.6 cm thick, which has a small wheel to drive the wheel of your bicycle thanks to the built-in electric motor. Installation is done in a few minutes, without any tools.

Livall Pikaboost: 30 km of autonomy

Quite light, the Livall Pikaboost weighs only 3 kg and has a battery 3.7 V and 234 W-h of power that provides electric motorization with a Power 250 W. This battery consists of 18 universal 18650 batteries of 13 Wh, which makes it easy to replace.

The set can be charged in 3 hours using a USB charger autonomy 30 km. For further, three driving modes available: Hold, Roll and Sport, which allow you to activate the regenerative braking function and adapt to all needs.

Livall Pikaboost: crowdfunding campaign

The Livall Pikaboost also has a rear brake light that turns on when it senses that you are braking, anti-theft system which is activated and unlocked in Bluetooth via a mobile app, as well as a shell waterproof (IP66) resistant to rain, sand and dust. The safety mode is activated when it detects a sudden change in slope of more than 45° to stop the wheel drive in the event of a fall.

The Livall Pikaboost will be sold with November 3, 2022 through a crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter platform. The first to sign up can take advantage of the “Super Early Bird” discount for $599 (approx. €607), which gives price 299 dollars (about 303 euros) turn your old frame into an electric bike.
