The head of Ukraine’s military intelligence, General Kyrylo Budanov, said in an interview with the Daily Mail that Vladimir Putin used at least three lookalikes who underwent plastic surgery to look like the Kremlin leader.

Major General Kyrylo Budanov said that previously the Ukrainian services had identified Putin’s “doppelgangers” who replaced the Russian president in a number of “special cases”, but now it has become a “common practice”.

“We clearly know about three people who keep appearing, but we don’t know how many there are. They all had plastic surgery to look the same,” he said.

“One feature that gives them away is their height. This can be seen in the video and photo. Also gestures and body language, as well as earlobes, because they are unique to each person,” he continued.

“The big question is, does the real Putin exist?” Budanov said.

Vladimir Putin turned 70 this month. This year, there were several speculations and unverified reports about the Russian president’s illness, but the Kremlin said that it was a fake, that Putin is healthy. The head of the CIA also said in the summer that there is no information that the Russian president is ill.
