A chase ensued between the two ships. Finally, the traffickers’ speedboat was stopped and its two foreign operators, aged 31 and 26, were arrested.

At the same time, a Coast Guard vehicle was mobilized from land, along with EL.AS personnel. An officer from the Salakos police station discovered a stationary IXE in the countryside of Cretinia. a car driven by a 34-year-old foreigner, and five other immigrants were found inside the car.

All of the above were arrested, with immigrants generally identifying the 31-year-old and 26-year-old as traffickers, and the 34-year-old as the driver of the car that picked them up and transported them. .

The Rhodes Central Port Authority, conducting a preliminary investigation, confiscated the speedboat as well as the IXE vehicle.
