The Ministry of Health reported that 209 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the last day, which is 143 less than the previous day. There were no casualties.

“In the last day, 209 new cases of SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, which is 143 less than the previous day. 35 of the new cases in 24 hours are re-infected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection,” the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

72 new cases were registered in Bucharest and 12 cases in Ilfov. 19 new cases were registered in Cluj County, 16 cases in Brasov, and 13 new cases in Arges. The rest of the counties have less than 10 cases.

In contrast to new confirmed cases, 18 people tested positive after retesting patients who had already tested positive.

According to the Ministry of Health, the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in specialized medical institutions is 787, which is 36 more than the previous day. Also, 98 people were hospitalized at the ATZ, which is 4 less than the previous day. Of the 98 patients admitted to the HTI, 88 are unvaccinated.

Of the total number of hospitalized, 55 were minors, 52 were hospitalized in the department, which is 7 more than the previous day, and 3 were hospitalized in the GTP, as in the previous day.

To date, 67,186 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 have died.

At the same time, according to the INSP, there were no deaths in the period from 10/29/2022 (10:00) to 10/30/2022 (10:00).

Over the last day, 1,354 RT-PCR tests were conducted (718 – based on case definition and medical protocol and 636 – on request) and 3,529 rapid antigen tests. To date, 13,575,419 RT-PCR tests and 11,878,641 rapid antigen tests have been processed at the national level.
